De Port de la Selva a Cap de Creus

It is a long route, it takes about 4 hours, it begins in Port de la Selva, following the GR-11 that crosses the Pyrenees (it goes from Cap Figuer to the Basque Country to Cap de Creus, in Catalonia).

Port de la Selva – Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery – Selva de Mar

From Port de la Selva to Sant Pere de Rodes: 2 hours one way, signposted path

We will leave Port de la Selva towards Llançà, passing by the Sant Jaume path, until we find the signs for the traditional religious route of Sant Jaume. You can also get there by car to the Santa Cruz Valley. The Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery is located in the Rodes mountain range at 520 metres above sea level, with a great view over the bay of Port de la Selva and the northern part of Cap de Creus.

From Port de la Selva to Llançà

One way 9 km, time 2 hours. It is a route that is part of the GR-92 and part of the Ronda route that goes from Lanza to Port de la Selva.

The route is along the Ronda path that goes from Port de la Selva to Llançà. It is a simple, fairly flat path, of low difficulty, that can be done on foot, running or by bicycle. During the route we find different coves with easy access, we will also find the S'Arenella lighthouse, and many viewpoints where we can contemplate the great beauty of the entire area.

From Port de la Selva to Cadaqués

One way is 3 hours and 12 km, it is part of the GR92.

From Port de la Selva to Cadaqués you can take another trail, the GR-92. It is about 12 kilometres long and takes approximately 3 hours to complete, with a significant gradient at the start of the route, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the bay of Port de la Selva.

The first 50 minutes are spent on a somewhat steep section of path that climbs to the Torelló coast. Once we have finished the slope we pass near Mas Bufadors, an old ruined farmhouse and the highest point above sea level. Then we head towards Montaña Negra, the point where we will begin the descent where we will see the first houses that belong to Cadaqués.

You arrive at Cadaqués very close to the roundabout at the entrance to the town, where you will find the bus stop to return to Port de la Selva.
